What is the best type of wool used for needle felting.?
I like to needle felted tiny animals. wool I'm using (just a few tips from JoAnn) takes a while to feel and not extremely firm. I want a wool felts quickly becomes very firm and not too expensive. I heard Romney wool is very good. are there others?
You miss washed and carded wool. You can usually find some of these things locally. Visit a sheep farm. You can also get it from eBay pretty good market or you could put up a wanted ad on Craig's list for sheep and llama wool. Be sure to say, washed and carded, you do not want a smelly fleece sitting around the house.
