Does anyone else have a difficult time leaving their home? I work go to school, pay my bills, it is a struggle
I'm wondering if I need counseling for this. I am a friendly person and social when I go out but I am always wanting to be home working on my yard, painting, drawing, doing commercial embroidery, sewing just anything creative. I went through some trauma when my sons left for college and the other got married and moved across the U.S. they are successful I have a good life, I am successful. What could be wrong with me? Walmart is a nightmare. I make lists throughout the weeks and do as much as I can from home. I would gladly pay someone to do errands etc. Am I alone in my unique eccentricness?
I am 46 and seriously I have a good life. divorced and ok cordial communication with him. Date only one person I'm a smidge fluffy but cute for my age, funny, good attitude...
I see this at my job all the time. It's really not that uncommon for people who reach a certain age. What you have is a mild form of agoraphobia. I don't know if you even remember what life was like before your kids but I truly think that you should start doing more outside your home.
Try joining a neighborhood group or start networking with other people or coordinating with locals about up coming events. You sound very artistic. Look for any free art courses in your area. Around mine they are usually given at the Free Libraries. Instead of paying someone to run your errands why don't you try running your errands in other parts of town rather than the usual places you go to. For example if you always go grocery shopping at Acme or Pathmark.Try driving out to these same grocery stores that you like but in another county or maybe even an hour away and blast your favorite types of music on the radio or cd. You get the point right. The reason being is that the drive out to somewhere you don't usually go gets you out of the routine that you're in now and will motivate you to do more with your time that just be home all the time. Try to maintain yourself active and try sharing your creativity with other people because being in the house all the time is going to eventually make you feel a sense of extreme loneliness followed by bitterness and that's not good at all.
