How do I hoop a t shirt to put the embroidery on the correct part of the left breast of the shirt.?
I guess my question is how do I measure where to put the design in the right place and straight on the shirt. The design is a pair of pilots wings with lettering below. Also can anyone tell me what is the best kind of towel to embroider. Thank you.
Find a shirt with a logo on it that you husband wears. Find the center of this logo. Mark it. Measure from the armhole seam to this point. Measure from the center point up to the shoulder seam. Take the measurements and apply them to the new shirt, to find the center of the new design you want to embroider ( mark with an disappearing ink pen, available in fabric stores).Apply Tear Away interfacing to the back of this area, so you don't stretch the fabric as you stitch. Tear the interfacing away when the design is completed. As for the towels, buy the best quality towels you can afford. The band that you will stitch may pucker , on a cheaper towel.
